“Why a Bowl of Chili can be more”

Chili can be more than just beans and tomatoes. What kind of meat should we use? Why would anyone in their right mind use cinnamon or coffee in a chili recipe? That is total insanity right? Why is brown sugar such a wonderful ingredient? Should I use light brown sugar or dark? Does it matter? Let’s explore these thoughts and more.

I have won a few chili cook-offs and I love the look on someone’s face when they taste something they never knew they would like.

Chili warms us and it has for a very long time. One of my favorite quotes is from Kit Carson. He was an American frontiersman who died in 1868. His last words were “Wish I had time for one more bowl of chili.”
